prevented planting and myagdata

What an awful Spring 2019 planting season! Excessive rain and flooding have prevented planting on farms across Farm Country. Many producers have been unable to plant crops by a final planting date or have experienced significant delays in planting.

It’s a tough situation to be in, although the USDA’s Farm Service Agency is extending the deadline to report acres of prevented planting to July 15 in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Nebraska. The new deadline coincides with the July 15, 2019, FSA crop acreage reporting deadline that is already in place. The deadline extension to July 15 only applies to FSA and does not change any RMA crop insurance reporting deadline requirements.

While MyAgData can’t control the weather patterns, we can help make the reporting of your prevent plant acres a whole lot easier. Download our how-to guide here.
