We’re a team of precision farming and crop insurance experts who together created MyAgData®, a cloud-based software service that bridges the gap between the data created and used by farmers, and the data required for the USDA to administer Farm Programs, to enable crop insurance companies to support Federal crop insurance and private products, and for industry to support traceability and quality of a harvested crop.

Role

We’re looking for a confident, enthusiastic, results driven person that wants to work on the cutting edge of ag tech innovation. We believe we are about to experience explosive growth and want someone who loves the challenge of selling new and better ways of doing things in ag to lead the charge.

Responsibilities

Sell
  • Develop and execute a strategy to sign new customers in existing and new business segments
  • Hands-on sales
Manage
  • Work with, develop and mentor sales staff to execute the strategy
Collaborate
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and industry leaders
  • Work with the CEO, CTO and Operations to align sales with the product roadmap and find the right path to close complex, multi-year deals. We believe the company works best when all phases of management contribute to our overall goals and plans and you will be in the room where it happens.
Communicate
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline overview in Salesforce and regularly update CEO and Board on pipeline progress
  • Work with the CEO to manage government relationships that are critical for long terms sales pipeline
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years in a hands-on sales role with a demonstrated ability to sell, preferably SaaS software
  • Strong leadership skills – direct and as an influencer
  • Ag industry experience
  • Hands-on mentality, willing “to do the work”, including cold calls
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience using Salesforce as primary place to plan and track progress
  • Natural ability to present and demonstrate software products with confidence and be a brand ambassador
  • Confident enough to work out a compensation plan that includes a significant amount of performance related pay
