Do you plant row crops? Do you certify your acreage at your USDA FSA Service Center? Would you like to make the process more efficient and cost effective?
The 2012 Farm Bill mandated that the USDA ease the acreage reporting burden on farmers by giving them the option to file electronically. We’ve been working with the USDA ever since.
After several pilot programs and years of investment, we’re very pleased to announce you’ll be able to report electronically in 2023!
MyAgData® is the first and only third-party provider that can transmit acreage data directly to the USDA Clearinghouse, which in turn sends that same data to your crop insurance provider.
Is electronic acreage reporting right for you? If you’re a fan of efficiency, and cost and time savings, then the answer is a resounding Yes!
What is electronic acreage reporting?
Electronic acreage reporting replaces the slow, inefficient, paper-driven process of reporting common acreage information to the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), the USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) and crop insurance providers.
Electronic reporting reduces the reporting burden on farmers by eliminating the need to report the same information multiple times to multiple locations.
Electronic reporting also supports efficient, secure and accurate data sharing across participating USDA agencies.
