Electronic acreage reporting? It’s kind of a big deal.
What are the benefits of filing electronically versus manually?
- It’s going to save you money: Leverage the data you are already collecting from the field to report the acres you actually planted and pay lower crop insurance premiums. Our historical data shows actual planted acres to be 4.7% – 6.9% less than the FSA acres shown on their paper maps. And quick, accurate production reporting means simplified production reports with a more accurate APH!
- It’s going to save you time: We’re the first and only commercial provider of electronic acreage reports. You don’t need to spend hours at the FSA office drawing on paper maps.
- It’s going to reduce risk: Complete and accurate reporting, helping you to accurately report acres and pay insurance premiums on planted acres while reducing audit risk.
Do I have to do anything differently?
You won’t have to spend so much time traveling to your county office.
You won’t have to mark up all those paper maps.
You won’t pay as much in crop insurance premiums.
But other than that?
You’ll be providing the same information you always have:
What you planted, how much you planted and when you planted it.
Do I need to sign up with the USDA if I want to file an electronic report?
MyAgData® is the only third-party organization that can submit data directly to the USDA Clearinghouse.
There are no USDA enrollment requirements needed to participate in the program, but you will need to register with MyAgData FieldPortal to be able to send your report to the USDA system.
Feeling unsure about the process? No worries! We will be with you every step of the way to make sure you have everything you need for successful report submission to the USDA.
